Through the years, volunteers have been an integral part of the success of Morgan Memorial Hospital. Volunteers assist and support the mission and efforts of the hospital by helping staff members, patients, residents and visitors during their time at Morgan Memorial. Our volunteers are generous and caring individuals with a multitude of talents providing services in both patient and non-patient care areas.
Our patients and staff members enjoy interacting with volunteers and we welcome individuals who are looking to make a difference in the lives of others. Volunteer opportunities include filing, courier services, escorting patients, assisting with recreational activities, leading Sunday worship services, data entry, fundraising, and event assistance - just to name a few! If you have a particular talent or area in which you would like to volunteer, please share your ideas with our staff.
To protect the safety and privacy of our employees, patients and visitors, volunteers are screened as rigorously as our employees. Individuals must go through volunteer orientation as well as pass a drug screen and background check.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or in learning more about current needs and opportunities, please contact Megan Morris, Director of Development and Public Relations, or Susan Tinch, Activities Director, at 706-342-1667 for further information.
